Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) State University will launch a new 4-year BA-BEd integrated program from the 2026-27 academic session . This program aims to train future teachers under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines. Students completing this course will be directly eligible to apply for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) jobs without needing separate BA and BEd degrees.
This new course is an important step towards improving teacher education in line with national rules. It is designed as an Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) . The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) sets the rules for such programs.
What is the BA-BEd Integrated Program?
The BA-BEd integrated program combines two degrees into one 4-year course . Normally, students first complete a 3-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and then a 2-year Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree, which takes a total of 5 years. This new integrated program saves students one year of study time.
The course curriculum is made to give students both academic knowledge and practical teaching skills at the same time. This approach ensures that graduates are fully prepared to enter the teaching profession.

The university has already taken important steps to start this program. Both the Academic Council and the Executive Council of Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) State University have approved the plan.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Akhilesh Kumar Singh stated that the university is almost ready to begin the course. The program will officially start after receiving the final approval from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) .
This initiative follows the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to create well-trained and highly skilled teachers across India.
