Eleven schools in Rajasthan have received national recognition for their environmental practices. The Union Ministry of Education awarded them the National Level Certificate of Merit under the Swachh Evam Harit Vidyalaya Rating (SHVR) 2025-26 . Each school will also receive ₹21 lakh for continued efforts.
Rajasthan Ranks Third Nationally
Rajasthan secured the third position nationwide in the SHVR 2025 ratings. Education Secretary Rajesh Yadav stated this reflects strong leadership and student participation. Schools were evaluated on sanitation, waste management, water conservation, energy use, and campus greenery.

The awards span government, PM SHRI, Kendriya Vidyalaya, and other senior secondary institutions across various districts. This includes both rural and urban schools, indicating widespread commitment to sustainability.
