The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked all its schools to organise special activities to prepare for Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026. This annual event features Prime Minister Narendra Modi talking with students. These school-level activities will take place from January 12 to 23, 2026. This year, more than 4.2 crore students have already registered for PPC 2026, setting a new record for student participation across India.

Pariksha Pe Charcha is a unique program where Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacts directly with students, teachers, and parents. The main goal of PPC is to help students reduce stress and face their upcoming exams, especially the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams, with more confidence. The discussions usually cover topics like exam preparation, managing stress, and handling academic expectations.

Record Number of Students Registered

The number of students signing up for Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 has been very high. Over 4.2 crore registrations have been recorded so far. This huge number means that PPC 2026 has already broken the previous record for participation. Last year, PPC set a Guinness World Record for having the highest number of participants on a citizen engagement platform within one month. This year's registrations have gone even higher, showing how popular and important the program is for students across the country.

School Activities: Dates and Details

CBSE has given clear instructions for schools to conduct various activities ahead of the main Pariksha Pe Charcha event. These activities are planned between January 12 and January 23, 2026. These dates are special as they include National Youth Day (January 12) and Parakram Diwas (January 23).

Activity TypeDateDetails
Student Run or Walk January 12, 2026 To encourage students to participate and be active.
Quiz or Writing Competition January 23, 2026 Students will compete in quizzes or writing tasks. Selected students from these competitions will then participate at special centres.

Schools must complete these activities within the given timeframe. The goal is to get more students actively involved and excited about the upcoming national interaction with the Prime Minister. The main Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 event is proposed to be held in the last week of January 2026.

Instructions for Schools and Teachers

To ensure all schools take part effectively, CBSE has given specific advice to school heads and teachers:

  • School leaders should strongly encourage all students to join the planned activities.
  • All activities must be carried out according to the dates and plans provided by CBSE.
  • After finishing the activities, schools need to keep records of student participation. They must also prepare and submit reports about these activities.

These activities are a key part of preparing for the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha. By holding these school-level events, CBSE aims to help students feel more confident and prepared for their exams. It also helps them make the most of the interaction with Prime Minister Modi to learn about managing exam pressure.

The entire program is designed to create a positive environment around exams, helping students manage their stress better. It helps them understand that exams are just one part of life and can be faced with a calm mind. This initiative by the Prime Minister and CBSE continues to be a major support for Indian students facing academic challenges before their board exams in February 2026.
