Patna University has released the second merit list for the Master of Education Entrance Test (MEET) M.Ed. program. Students who appeared for the MEET exam can now check if their name is on this list. Counselling for these selected students will take place on October 17 and 18 . MEET M.Ed. Counselling Dates
The counselling for students on the second merit list will be held on the following dates:
- October 17
- October 18
The counselling will happen at the specific department or institute concerned with the M.Ed. program. Students should report between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on these days. It is very important for all selected applicants to attend the counselling within this time. If a student does not attend, their admission offer will be cancelled.
Earlier, the first round of counselling for the MEET M.Ed. program was held on September 26, September 27, and October 10. This current counselling on October 17 and 18 is for the second list of selected candidates.
How to Register for Counselling
If your name is on the second merit list, follow these steps to register for counselling:
- Go to the student admission login link: pu.bihar-ums.com/pgadmission
- Enter your Application ID and your Date of Birth (which acts as your password).
- If you are listed in the merit list, you will need to pay the required admission fees.
- After successfully paying the fees, make sure to download your allotment form . This form is important for the counselling process.
Documents Needed for Counselling
When you go for counselling, you must bring all the necessary documents. Make sure to carry both the original documents and photocopies of each. Here is a list of what you need:
- Your Allotment Letter (which you download after paying fees).
- The Payment Slip (proof that you paid the fees).
- Your original Application Form .
- Four recent passport-size photographs .
- All original educational certificates and mark sheets .
- Photocopies of all original certificates and mark sheets .
Having all these documents ready will make your counselling process smooth and fast.
Important Information for New Admissions
Patna University has also announced that newly admitted students for the 2025-26 academic year can complete their online admission process. This online admission period is from September 23 to October 31 . Students who complete their admission after October 31 will have to pay a late fine of Rs. 1000/- . This late fee will be charged until a new announcement is made.
After the counselling and enrollment, the Heads of Departments (HODs) or Directors will check and confirm the admissions daily. They will send a report of these validations to Prof. Rajneesh Kumar , the enrollment in-charge, at the Dean's office. Once a candidate's admission is validated, the HOD or Director will immediately give them a receipt showing that they are "provisionally admitted" to the M.Ed. program.
