The Odisha government has revised the admission timeline for undergraduate (UG) courses for the 2026-27 academic year. This schedule applies to all +3 degree institutions participating in the Student Academic Management System (SAMS), including state universities, government colleges, and private institutions.
Revised Admission Schedule Announced
The deadline for submitting online Common Application Forms (CAF) has been extended to June 16, 2026 . The first provisional seat allotment list will be released on June 22, 2026 . Classes are scheduled to begin on July 10, 2026 .

AEDP Course Updates
The Higher Education Department has also issued updates regarding Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP) subjects. The number of seats for some AEDP subjects has been reduced. Other AEDP subjects have been converted to non-AEDP subjects in certain institutions.
Applicants whose selected AEDP subject has been converted must update their CAF. They should select the same subject as their Major-I and choose two Minor subjects. These changes must be made before the June 16, 2026 deadline.
Failure to update the CAF for affected AEDP subjects means the previous Major-II option will be treated as a Single Major. Minor subjects will be allotted during admission counselling based on merit and seat availability.
Student Admission Steps
Students should follow these steps:
- Complete CAF: Submit or edit your online application by June 16, 2026 . Correct any subject choices affected by AEDP changes.
- Check Allotment: View the first round seat allotment on June 22, 2026 .
- Make Selection: If allotted, choose to 'Slide', 'Freeze', or 'Float'. Pay the admission fee by June 25, 2026 .
- Report to Institution: Confirm admission at the allotted institution with required documents between June 23 and June 25, 2026 .
- Check Round 2: If not selected or awaiting further options, check the second round allotment on July 02, 2026 .
- Waitlist Round: If still not admitted, check the waitlist on July 08, 2026 and report for spot admission if interested.
