After today, new applications for the SHRESHTA Exam 2026 will not be accepted. However, students who have already submitted their application forms will get a chance to make corrections. The correction window will open on November 1, 2025 , and close on November 2, 2025 .
The SHRESHTA Exam 2026 is held to offer free residential education to talented students from Scheduled Caste (SC) communities. This scheme helps bright SC boys and girls get admission to some of the best private residential schools across India. Around 3000 students will be selected through this exam for admission into Class 9 and Class 11 .
The NTA started accepting applications for SHRESHTA 2026 on October 10, 2025 . The exam itself is planned for December 2025 . Admit cards for the exam will be available for download from the official website shortly after the correction window closes.
