NIOS Result 2025: Class 10, 12 October Exams Declared

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has announced the results for Class 10 and Class 12 October-November 2025 exams. Students can now check their scores on the official website results.nios.ac.in . The results were released in January 2026 for around 1.7 lakh students who appeared for these exams.

The NIOS exams for Class 10 and 12 took place from October 14, 2025 , to December 2, 2025 . Students need their enrollment number to check their results online. The results are also available through DigiLocker and SMS.

How to Check NIOS Result 2025 (October-November Exams)

Students can check their results using three main methods:

1. Check Result Online on NIOS Website

  • Go to the official NIOS result website: results.nios.ac.in
  • Enter your enrollment number in the space provided.
  • Type the captcha code shown on the screen.
  • Click on the 'Submit' button.
  • Your NIOS Class 10 or Class 12 result will appear on the screen.
  • Download the result and take a printout for your records.

2. Check Result via SMS

  • Open the messaging app on your mobile phone.
  • Type an SMS in this format:
    • For Class 10: NIOS10<Roll Number>
    • For Class 12: NIOS12<Roll Number>
  • Send this message to the number 5676750 .
  • You will receive your NIOS result as an SMS.
  • Take a screenshot or save the message for future use.

3. Check Result via DigiLocker

  • Visit the DigiLocker website or open the DigiLocker app.
  • Log in using your registered mobile number or Aadhaar number.
  • Find and click on the 'NIOS Result 2025' option.
  • Enter your enrollment number and other required details.
  • Click on 'Submit'.
  • Your NIOS digital mark sheet will be displayed.
  • Download it for future reference.

Important Details on Your Marksheet

Your NIOS mark sheet will contain important information such as:

  • Your Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Enrollment Number
  • Course (Class 10 or Class 12)
  • Examination Year (2025)
  • Examination Month (October-November)
  • Marks obtained in each subject
  • Total Marks
  • Qualifying Marks
  • Mother’s Name
  • Father’s Name
  • Abbreviations (explaining result status)

The National Institute of Open Schooling does not release a list of toppers for Class 10 and 12 exams.

Understanding Abbreviations in Result

The result sheet may use abbreviations to show your status. Here are some common ones:

What If You Do Not Pass?

Students who cannot clear their NIOS 10th or 12th exams in the October-November 2025 session do not need to worry. NIOS has an 'On-Demand Examination System'. This system allows students to appear for the subjects they failed in the same year. With good preparation, students can clear these exams.

Rechecking and Re-evaluation of Marks

If you are not happy with your marks, you can apply for rechecking or re-evaluation:

Rechecking of Answer Sheets

  • Both Class 10 and Class 12 students can apply for rechecking.
  • You must apply within 15 days after the result declaration.
  • The fee for rechecking is ₹400 per subject.
  • Apply online on the official NIOS website.

Re-evaluation of Answer Sheets

  • Only Class 12 students can apply for re-evaluation.
  • You can apply for re-evaluation after 15 days of the result declaration.
  • The fee for re-evaluation is ₹1000 per subject.
  • Apply online through the official NIOS website.

Correction in Result

If you find any mistakes in your personal details or mark calculation on your result sheet, you can ask for a correction. You must apply for result correction within 30 days from the date the result was announced. There is a fee of ₹50 for each correction.

Students can calculate their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) if it is not directly provided. To calculate CGPA, add the grade points of your five subjects and divide the total by five.
