The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) 2026 final results for undergraduate and postgraduate programs are expected by the end of May 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the results on the official NTA NIFT website, exams.nta.nic.in/niftee.
The final merit list for B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, and MFM programs follows the Stage 1 result, which was announced in mid-March 2026. Candidates who passed Stage 1 participated in Group Discussions and Situation Tests in April-May 2026.
Check and Download Scorecard
Candidates can access their scores by visiting exams.nta.nic.in/niftee or nift.ac.in/admission. They must log in using their Application ID, Password, and Security PIN. A printed copy of the scorecard is recommended for the counselling process.
The scorecard details include name, date of birth, photograph, roll number, Application ID, subject-wise scores, total score, and Common Merit Rank (CMR). The CMR determines a candidate's rank on the merit list for their chosen programs.
NIFT Selection Criteria
The final merit calculation for B.Des programs assigns weightage as follows:
| Component | Weightage |
| CAT | 50% |
| GAT | 30% |
| Situation Test | 20% |
The Situation Test performance significantly influences the final ranking.
NIFT Counselling

Interested candidates must register on the NIFT admissions site, nift.admissions.nic.in. A counselling fee of approximately ₹9,300 is required. Applicants will select their preferred campuses and programs during registration.
