The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NIFT 2026 entrance exam results. Candidates can now download their Stage-1 scorecards. The final merit list for Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des) programs will be announced soon.
NIFT 2026 Result Details
The NIFT 2026 exam is the common entrance test for design courses at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). The examination assesses candidates for both undergraduate and postgraduate design programs.
Stage-1 results, covering the General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT), were released on March 20, 2026 . Stage-2 assessments, including the Situation Test for UG programs and Group Discussion/Personal Interview (GD/PI) for PG programs, have also been conducted.
The final result will be an aggregate of scores from both stages. This combined score determines the merit list for admissions for the 2026-27 academic year.
How to Download Your Scorecard
Candidates can access their scorecards through the official NIFT exam portal. Visit exams.nta.nic.in/niftee or nift.ac.in/admission . Log in using your application number and date of birth or password. The downloadable PDF scorecard includes your name, roll number, application number, CAT and GAT marks, Situation Test/Interview scores, total marks, and a tentative rank.
Final Merit List and Admissions
The NTA will publish the final merit list after accounting for prescribed weightages. For B.Des programs, the weightages are CAT (50%), GAT (30%), and Situation Test (20%).
Shortlisted candidates will proceed to online counseling. Seat allotment and institute-specific confirmations will follow. Students should regularly check the NIFT and NIFTEE admission portals for cutoff scores, counseling dates, and category-wise reservation lists.
