The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) has opened applications for its entrance examination, NEE 2026. How to Apply for NERIST NEE 2026
Students can follow these simple steps to apply for the NEE 2026 exam:
- Visit the official website: neeonline.ac.in .
- On the homepage, look for and click on the link that says, “Online application for NEE 2026 shall be LIVE @ 10.30 a.m onwards from 09.01.2026.”
- A new page will open. Here, first create a new account by signing up. After signing up, log in to the website using your new username and password.
- Fill in all the required details in the application form carefully. Make sure all information is correct.
- Pay the application fee. This payment must be done online using net banking, credit card, or debit card.
- After filling all details and paying the fee, submit your application form.
Application Fee Details
To complete the application process, candidates need to pay a fee. The fee depends on the candidate's category:
- For SC/ST/Person with Disability (PD) candidates: INR 1000 plus payment gateway charges.
- For General (UR), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates: INR 1500 plus payment gateway charges.
Please note that this application fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person or exam.
What Happens After Registration
Once the registration period closes on March 31, 2026 , NERIST will release admit cards for the eligible candidates. These admit cards will be available from April 14, 2026 , onwards. The admit card is a very important document. Students must download it and bring it to the examination hall. Without the admit card, students will not be allowed to take the exam.
About the NEE Examination
The NEE exam is conducted across various centers in the northeastern states of India. This exam is the gateway for students to get admission into NERIST's many programs. The examination is divided into different levels:
- NEE-I: This exam is generally for admission to certificate courses.
