The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the NEET UG re-examination today, June 21, 2026 . This exam follows the cancellation of the original test held on May 3, 2026, due to paper leaks.
Re-NEET UG 2026: Key Details
Nearly 23 lakh students are appearing for the re-examination. Admit cards were released on June 14, 2026 . Candidates must present a hard copy of their admit card and a valid ID for entry.
The re-examination is held at 5,440 centers across 551 cities in India. Fourteen centers are located abroad. The exam is available in English and 12 Indian languages.
Security Measures Implemented
The NTA has enhanced security protocols for the re-NEET UG 2026. Question papers were transported from Delhi using Indian Air Force services. Centers are under high security to prevent malpractices. Delhi Police secured PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya in Sadiq Nagar, sealing all gates before the exam.
Revised Exam Timings
The duration of the NEET UG 2026 re-examination has been extended. Students will now have 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete the exam. The revised timing is from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM . The original exam duration was three hours.
State Government Support for Students
Several state governments are providing free travel for students to reach their exam centers. These include Delhi, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Bihar, and Andhra Pradesh. Students can show their admit cards for free passage on state transport buses.
The Uttar Pradesh government offers a 50% fare concession on UPSRTC buses for NEET students. District administrations have established cooling zones, shaded waiting areas, and ensured uninterrupted power supply and clean drinking water at centers.
