Dehradun district administration has imposed Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita. This action tightens security measures around 10 examination centers for the NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 . The re-examination is scheduled for June 21, 2026 . The district aims to ensure a fair and peaceful exam process.
Security Measures Implemented
Section 163 restricts activities within 200 meters of exam venues. Prohibited actions include carrying weapons, using loudspeakers, and public gatherings of five or more people. Demonstrations are also banned. Additional District Magistrate Krishna Kumar Mishra issued the order as a precautionary step. He stated the aim is to prevent disruptions on exam day.
Enhanced Preparations Underway
The administration confirmed these are preventive measures. Any attempt to disrupt the exam or law and order will face strict legal action. Security has been significantly boosted across the district. Superintendent of Police Pramod Kumar detailed extensive arrangements. Police and CPMF personnel will escort question papers to ensure secure transport.
Centre Management and Student Guidelines
A Sub-Inspector level officer will oversee each exam center. Local police station in-charges have visited centers. They are checking preparations and coordinating with officials. Candidates must adhere to reporting times. The NTA advises students to reach centers between 11:00 am and 1:30 pm. Entry gates close promptly at 1:30 pm.
Exam Details
The NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 is a pen-and-paper test. It will take place from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. The exam is conducted in 551 cities nationwide. It will also be held in 14 international cities. Over 2.27 million candidates are expected to appear. Authorities are working to ensure a safe and transparent examination.
