Uttar Pradesh students taking the NEET UG re-examination on June 21 can now receive a 50 percent fare reduction on state-run buses. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the concession for candidates travelling to exam centers across the state.
Bus Fare Concession Details
The discount applies to services operated by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. Candidates must present their NEET UG admit card to avail the reduced fare. This initiative aims to ease travel for the thousands expected to appear for the examination.
Exam Security Measures
The re-examination is under heightened security. The Indian Air Force (IAF) and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) are involved in transporting question papers. The IAF will fly papers to test locations, halving delivery times. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and state police will escort papers from June 11 until the exam day.
CAPF officers will also be on IAF flights during transport. District administrations are directed to establish advance coordination with stakeholders to ensure law and order. Social media platforms will be monitored for misinformation.
Accommodation and Exam Integrity
District administrations are also tasked with providing accommodation for candidates traveling to different districts for the exam. Chief Minister Adityanath stressed maintaining the sanctity and transparency of the examination process. Officials must follow guidelines from the National Testing Agency (NTA).
International Yoga Day Preparations
Preparations for International Yoga Day on June 21 were also reviewed. The theme this year is 'Yoga for Healthy Aging'. Officials were instructed to ensure the Prime Minister's program is broadcast across Uttar Pradesh. Yoga is promoted as a means for physical and mental well-being.
