The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened the portal for NEET UG 2026 exam candidates to submit bank account details for refunds. This applies to students who appeared for the exam initially scheduled for May 3, 2026, which was later cancelled due to a paper leak.

Refund Window Reopened

Students who took the NEET UG 2026 exam on the original date of May 3, 2026, are eligible for a refund of their exam fee. The NTA has provided a specific window for these candidates to submit their bank account information.

Approximately 19 lakh candidates have already confirmed their bank details. However, a small number of students did not complete this process. The NTA has also received requests from candidates who initially opted out of the refund and now wish to claim it. For these students, the bank information portal has been reopened.

The deadline to submit or update bank details for the refund is June 30, 2026 .

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Details

The NEET UG 2026 re-examination was successfully conducted on June 21, 2026 . Around 20 lakh candidates appeared for this re-exam. The provisional answer key for the re-exam was released on June 25, 2026 . Challenges to the answer key can be submitted until June 28, 2026 .

How to Submit Bank Information for Refund

Students must visit the official NEET UG website to submit their bank account details. The process requires login using application credentials.

Candidates will need to complete Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via OTP sent to their registered mobile number for security.

After logging in, students can:

  • Confirm existing details: If the displayed bank account number and IFSC code are correct, candidates can tick a checkbox to confirm.
  • Update details: If the information is incorrect or was not previously submitted, candidates can enter new details. This includes Beneficiary Name, Bank Account Number, Bank Name, and IFSC Code.
  • Opt for 'No Refund': Candidates who do not wish to receive a refund can select this option.

A scanned copy of a cancelled cheque or the first page of the bank passbook, showing account number and IFSC code, must be uploaded.

Important Reminders

The NTA will process refunds only to the bank account details provided and confirmed on the portal. The agency will not be responsible for refunds sent to incorrect accounts due to wrong, incomplete, or unverified information.

The bank account must be active and in the name of the candidate or their parents/family. Joint accounts are also acceptable. No changes to bank details will be permitted after the submission window closes.
