The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a new suspect in the NEET UG 2026 paper leak investigation. This brings the total number of arrests in the case to 11. The accused, Manisha Sanjay Havaldar, worked at Seth Hiralal Saraf Prashala in Pune, Maharashtra. She was appointed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) as a subject expert for the NEET UG 2026 exam.
Accused Linked to Physics Questions
Authorities state Havaldar had access to Physics question papers for NEET UG 2026. In April 2026, she allegedly shared some of these questions with Manisha Mandhare, another accused already in custody. Reports indicate the shared questions match the NEET UG 2026 Physics paper.
Investigation Details
The CBI has conducted searches across multiple locations nationwide. Incriminating documents, laptops, bank statements, and mobile phones were seized. Analysis of these items is ongoing. The investigation started on May 12, 2026, following a complaint from the Department of Higher Education.
Special teams are investigating the leak. They have identified the source of the leak. Middlemen who recruited students for special classes have also been identified. These classes allegedly discussed and shared exam questions.
