The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the refund process for the NEET UG 2026 examination fees. This follows the cancellation of the original May 3 exam due to paper leaks. A re-examination is scheduled for June 21, 2026.
Candidates will not pay a new fee for the re-test. The NTA will fully reimburse application fees paid for the original exam. Fees ranged from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1700 for domestic candidates. NRI applicants paid Rs. 9500.
Submit Refund Details
The NTA has launched an online module on its official website for refund submissions. Candidates must log in to provide accurate banking details.
Steps to submit bank details:
- Visit the NTA website: neet.nta.nic.in .
- Log in using your Application Number and Password.
- Find and click the link for 'Submission of Bank Details for fee refund'.
- Enter the account holder's name, bank account number, and IFSC code.
- Review all information before submitting the form.
The NTA advises using personal or parent bank accounts. This ensures direct and secure fund transfer. The refund amount excludes bank processing or gateway charges.
Over 22 lakh candidates are expected to take the re-examination. The NTA has not set a specific deadline for the refund application submission yet.
