Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will open NEET UG 2026 counselling registrations on August 5, 2026 . The counselling process is for admission to 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 85% state quota seats. Candidates who took the NEET UG exam on June 21, 2026, can apply. Registration will be conducted on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.

The counselling for AIQ seats is divided into multiple rounds. Round 1 registrations start August 5 and close on August 17, 2026 . The last date to join after Round 1 is August 22, 2026. Round 2 runs from August 24 to September 2, 2026 , with the last joining date as September 8, 2026. Round 3 registrations begin September 10 and end September 18, 2026. A Stray Vacancy round will open September 28 and close October 3, 2026.
The academic session for all rounds is set to start on September 8, 2026 . Verification of joined candidate data occurs after each round's joining deadline.

State quota counselling begins slightly later. Round 1 registrations open on August 13, 2026 , with a registration deadline of August 22, 2026. The last day to join for Round 1 is August 28, 2026. Round 2 will take place from August 31 to September 8, 2026 . Round 3 is scheduled from September 16 to September 26, 2026.
The Stray Vacancy round for state quota seats runs from October 3 to October 5, 2026. The academic session commencement date for state quota seats is also September 8, 2026 .

Registration Process
Candidates must use their NEET UG 2026 application number and score to register. The counselling process covers admissions to prominent medical institutions nationwide, including AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, and BHU.
