The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened registration for NEET UG 2026 counselling on August 5 . Eligible candidates can apply online at mcc.nic.in for admission to medical courses. This process covers 15 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats, Central Universities, AFMC, ESI, AIIMS, JIPMER, B.Sc. Nursing, and deemed universities.
Registration Steps
Candidates must visit the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in. They should navigate to the "Candidate Activity" section and click on "NEET UG Counselling Registration 2026." Applicants will need their NEET UG roll number, admit card, and scorecard to register. After submitting initial details, candidates will log in using their NEET roll number and password. The next step involves "Choice Filling," where students select their preferred colleges and courses. This is followed by "Choice Locking" within a specified window. Seat allotment results for Round 1 will be announced later.
Required Documents
Applicants need to prepare several documents for registration. These include the NEET UG 2026 Scorecard and Admit Card. Candidates should also have their MCC Seat Allotment Letter (if applicable from previous rounds), Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets, and a valid photo ID proof. If claiming reservation benefits, a category certificate is necessary. Other required documents are a Transfer Certificate and recent passport-size photographs.
Registration and Security Fees
Registration and security fees differ based on the institution type. For AIQ seats, Central Universities, AFMC, ESI, AIIMS, JIPMER, and B.Sc. Nursing, the registration fee is 1,000 INR for UR/EWS candidates and 500 INR for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates. The security fee for these categories is 10,000 INR (refundable) for UR/EWS and 5,000 INR (refundable) for SC/ST/OBC/PwD.
For deemed universities, the registration fee is 5,000 INR for all categories. The security fee for deemed universities is higher at 2,00,000 INR (refundable) for all categories.
Round 1 Counselling Schedule
The MCC has released the schedule for Round 1 counselling. Registration commenced on August 5 . The counselling registration and fee payment window closes on August 12 at 6 pm . Choice filling is open from August 6 to August 13 at 11 am . Choice locking will be available from August 12 at 4 pm to August 13 at 11 am . The MCC will process seat allotment from August 13 to August 16 . Round 1 results are expected on August 17 . Candidates must report to their allotted colleges between August 18 and August 22 . Institutes will verify candidate data on August 23 .

The MCC portal also provides access to a "Composite Allotment List." This allows candidates to check probable Round 1 seat allotments. Students can also download opening and closing ranks, along with course-wise and category-wise cut-offs, from the "Downloads" section of the website.
