Choice Filling and Locking

The window for candidates to fill their choices opens on August 6, 2026 . It remains open until August 13, 2026, at 11:55 PM . Candidates must manually lock their choices. This is done through the official MCC website (mcc.nic.in) using a one-time password (OTP). Failure to manually lock choices will result in an auto-lock of the last saved options. The auto-locking feature activates at the specified deadline.

To complete the process, candidates log into their portal. They access the choice filling section. Here, they can arrange their preferred institutions in order. After making selections, candidates save their progress. The choice locking facility is active from August 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM until August 13, 2026, at 11:55 PM .

Seat Allotment Process

Following the choice locking period, the seat allotment process begins. This phase runs from August 13 to August 16, 2026 . Seat allocation considers candidate merit ranks, available quota seats, and the preferences submitted by applicants. The Round 1 seat allotment result will be declared on August 17, 2026 .

Candidates who are allotted seats must report to their respective colleges. The physical reporting period is scheduled from August 18 to August 22, 2026 .
