What is NEET UG 2025 Round 5 Choice Filling?
Choice filling is a step where students select the colleges and courses they wish to join. They list their preferred options in a specific order online. After students fill their choices, they must 'lock' them. Locking choices means confirming their selections. Once choices are locked, they cannot be changed. The MCC uses these locked choices, along with a student's NEET rank and other rules, to decide which college and course a student will get.
Who Can Apply for Round 5?
Students who appeared for NEET UG 2025 and meet the eligibility criteria can apply. This round is for those who could not get a seat in the earlier counselling rounds for BDS or BSc Nursing courses. All eligible candidates must register again if they have not done so for Round 5 and pay the required fee to participate.

How to Fill and Lock Your Choices for Round 5
To participate in NEET UG 2025 Round 5 choice filling, students need to follow a few important steps online. It is suggested that students choose as many colleges as they are interested in. This increases their chances of getting a seat. All selected college preferences must be locked by the deadline to be considered for seat allotment.
- Step 1: Register and Pay Fee: First, eligible students must register online for Round 5. They also need to pay the registration fee. Only after paying this fee can they proceed to fill their choices.
- Step 2: Log In: Students must visit the official MCC website. They need to log in using their NEET roll number and password. This will take them to the choice filling portal.
- Step 3: Select Choices: Once logged in, students can start selecting their preferred BDS or BSc Nursing colleges and courses. They should list these options in the order they like them most. For example, the college they want most should be listed first.
- Step 4: Save Choices: After selecting colleges, students should save their choices regularly. This prevents losing their selections if there is a power cut or internet issue.
- Step 5: Lock Choices: From December 10, 2025, at 8 PM , students can lock their choices. It is very important to lock choices before the final deadline of December 11, 2025, 10 AM . If choices are not locked, they will not be considered for seat allotment.
What Happens After Choice Locking?
After students lock their choices, the MCC will process all applications. The allotment of seats will be based on several factors: the choices filled by the student, their NEET rank, the number of available seats, and the admission policies. The final seat allotment result for NEET UG 2025 Round 5 will be announced on December 12, 2025 .
