The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBE) has announced important details for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Super Speciality (NEET SS) 2025 . This exam is for doctors who want to pursue further advanced studies in highly specialized medical fields. After completing their basic medical degree (MBBS) and a postgraduate course, doctors take NEET SS to gain admission into Super Speciality courses like DM (Doctor of Medicine) and MCh (Magister Chirurgiae). These programs allow doctors to become experts in specific medical areas.

The NEET SS 2025 exam will be held on December 26 and 27, 2025 . It will be a computer-based test (CBT). The NBE has arranged the exam in 43 cities across India. All candidates appearing for this exam must carefully follow the guidelines to ensure a fair and smooth process.

NEET SS 2025 Exam Schedule and Timings

The exam will be conducted in two shifts on both designated days. Candidates will be assigned either a morning or an afternoon session. Knowing your exact shift time is very important for planning your arrival at the test centre.

ShiftShift Timing
Shift 1 (Morning Session) 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Shift 2 (Afternoon Session) 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM

Each exam shift will last for 2 hours and 30 minutes . Candidates must arrive at their exam centre well before their shift starts. Entry gates for the exam hall usually close at least 30 minutes before the official test beginning time. Latecomers may not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

The admit card, available for download from the official NBE website, will clearly show the reporting time, gate closing time, and the assigned exam shift for each candidate. It is important to check this information thoroughly before exam day.
