NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Underway
The NEET UG 2026 re-examination is taking place today, June 21, 2026 . The exam is scheduled from 2 PM to 5:15 PM. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the exam in 5,440 centers across 551 Indian cities. Fourteen centers are located internationally. Over 95,000 examination rooms are equipped with CCTV surveillance.
Security Measures and Telegram Ban
The IAF utilized transport aircraft and helicopters for paper delivery. Papers were collected from two main distribution hubs. These were then distributed to over 20 strategic locations across India. The exact routes and details of the operation remain confidential. The IAF's involvement aimed to accelerate delivery and enhance security.
Ahead of the re-exam, the NTA partially banned the Telegram app. This measure, active until June 22, 2026, targets the spread of false leak claims and misleading content on social media. Scammers reportedly used Telegram to circulate papers in the previous examination.
NTA Addresses Leak Claims
Claims of a paper leak for the June 21 re-exam have circulated online. The NTA has refuted these claims, stating there is no evidence to support them. The agency confirmed no confirmed irregularities related to the re-test have been found.
