Steps in NEET PG Round 2 Counselling

The counselling process involves several important steps. Understanding each step helps students apply correctly.

1. Display of Seat Matrix

On December 5, 2025 , the MCC will release the list of available seats. This list is called the 'Seat Matrix'. It shows how many seats are open in different MD, MS, and MDS courses at various colleges. Students must check this list carefully to know which colleges and courses have vacant seats.

2. Online Registration and Fee Payment

Students must register online to join Round 2 counselling. This step starts on December 5, 2025 , and ends on December 9, 2025 . During registration, students need to provide their details and pay the required counselling fee. Without registration, a student cannot take part in choice filling or seat allotment.

3. Choice Filling and Locking

After registration, students can choose their preferred colleges and courses. This process is called 'choice filling'. It will be open from December 6 to December 9, 2025 . Students should list their choices in order of preference. For example, they can list their most preferred college and course combination first. After making choices, students must 'lock' them by the deadline. Once choices are locked, they cannot be changed.

4. Processing of Seat Allotment

The MCC will process all choices submitted by students from December 10 to December 11, 2025 . The system will match students' choices with available seats based on their NEET PG rank and other rules.

5. Publication of Seat Allotment Result

The results of seat allotment for Round 2 will be released on December 12, 2025 . Students can check the MCC official website to see if they have been allotted a seat in any college. The result will show which college and course a student has been assigned.

6. Reporting to the Allotted College

If a student gets a seat, they must report to the allotted college. This step is from December 13 to December 21, 2025 . Students need to complete their admission formalities and pay the college fees during this period. They also need to submit all required documents for verification. Failing to report to the college within this time means losing the allotted seat.

Important Points for Applicants

Students participating in NEET PG Round 2 counselling should remember these points:

  • Provide a working email ID and mobile number during registration. All important messages about counselling will be sent to these contacts.
  • The full list of available seats (seat matrix) will be published on the official MCC website: mcc.nic.in .
  • Registering for counselling is a must. Without registration, students cannot fill choices or get a seat.
  • Before filling choices, check the seat matrix carefully. Making informed choices increases the chance of getting a seat.

Students must stay updated by regularly checking the MCC website for any new announcements. Following the schedule and instructions carefully will help in a smooth counselling experience.
