The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the NEET PG Round 1 Seat Allotment Result 2025 on November 20, 2025 . This result is for students seeking admission to MD/MS and other postgraduate medical courses. Candidates who registered and chose their colleges can check their assigned seat on the official MCC website.
The MCC is the main body that handles counselling for admissions to various medical courses across India. The NEET PG exam allows MBBS doctors to pursue advanced studies in specialised medical fields. The seat allotment process assigns available seats in medical colleges based on student preferences, exam rank, seat availability, and reservation rules.

Before the result release, the MCC will conduct seat processing on November 19, 2025 . This is when the committee checks all chosen options and finalises seat assignments for students. The result, which shows which college and course a student has been assigned, will be available on November 20.
The MCC expects to publish the result after 4 PM on the release day. However, if there are any delays, the allotment list might be available later in the evening.

How Seats Are Assigned
The process of giving seats to students depends on a few important points:
- Choices Made: The colleges and courses you picked and put in order of preference.
- Seats Available: How many seats are open in different colleges for various courses.
- Reservation Rules: Rules set by the government for different groups of students (like SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD).
- Merit Rank: Your rank in the NEET PG exam. Students with higher ranks get priority.
The MCC uses a computerised system to match students with available seats based on these factors.

What Happens After You Get a Seat?
If you are happy with the seat given to you, you need to complete a few more steps to secure your admission:
- Pay Fees: You must pay the required admission fees within the given time. The fee amount and payment methods will be mentioned in your allotment letter or on the MCC website.
- Document Verification: Take all your original important documents and their photocopies to the college you have been assigned. The college will check these papers to confirm your eligibility. Make sure you have your NEET PG admit card, rank letter, MBBS mark sheets, internship completion certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and other ID proofs ready.
- Join College: After paying fees and verifying documents, you must report to the college within the deadline to complete the admission process.
What if You Are Not Happy with Your Allotted Seat?
Some candidates might not be satisfied with the college or course they received in Round 1. In such cases, you have an option to apply for an “upgradation.”
- Opt for Upgradation: If you want to try for a better seat in the next round of counselling (Round 2), you can choose the upgradation option. This means you accept the current seat temporarily but wish to be considered for higher preference seats in Round 2.
- Participate in Next Round: If you choose upgradation, you will automatically be included in the second round of counselling. If you get a better seat in Round 2, your Round 1 seat will be given to another candidate. If you do not get a better seat, your Round 1 seat remains valid.
