How NEET PG Seats are Allotted
The MCC uses a computer-based system to allot seats. This system makes sure the process is fair and transparent. Here is how it works:
- First, candidates must have finished their registration and filled their choices of colleges and courses.
- The computer system then looks at several factors for each candidate:
- Their rank in the NEET PG exam .
- The list of choices they filled, from first preference to last.
- The total number of available seats (also called the 'seat matrix') for each course and college.
- The category of the candidate (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, etc.).
- The system tries to give candidates their highest possible choice. It checks if a seat is available for the candidate's first choice. If not, it moves to the second choice, and so on.
- This process continues until a seat is found for the candidate based on their rank and available seats.
What Happens After the Result?
Candidates must understand the next steps after the NEET PG Round 1 seat allotment results are out.
