The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the NEET PG 2026 exam on August 30, 2026. The exam runs from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. Approximately 273,183 candidates have registered. This is a 12.5% increase from last year. The exam will take place in about 340 cities and over 1300 test centers nationwide.
Technical Glitch Procedures
NBEMS advises candidates to remain calm if technical issues arise. Measures are in place to address these disruptions. Exam time will not be reduced due to any technical interruption. Candidates will receive their full allotted time.
Power Failure or Machine Lock
If a power failure occurs after login, no candidate action is needed. The exam timer stops automatically. It restarts when power is restored. Candidates will not lose any testing time.
A machine may lock if server connection is lost. The on-site IT manager will check the issue. They will verify the candidate and unlock the machine. The timer resumes from where it stopped. Full examination time is guaranteed.
System Issues
Report any computer system issues immediately to the invigilator. This includes screen flickering or mouse problems. Report repeated system locks or hangs. The IT manager or invigilator will assess the problem. The affected computer will be locked.
Candidates may be moved to a buffer seat. This can happen in the same or another lab. The goal is to continue the exam without disruption. NBEMS has implemented comprehensive security measures.
Exam Security Measures
Exam centers undergo advance sealing and verification. CCTV surveillance and biometric authentication will be used. Candidates will be frisked before entry. Signal jammers will operate at all centers.
Dynamic computer monitoring will occur. Central and regional command centers will provide live oversight. Independent observers will supervise the examination in real time.
