The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) released the official Information Bulletin for NEET MDS Counselling 2026 on mcc.nic.in. The bulletin details the seat allocation process for all Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses nationwide. It outlines eligibility criteria, registration fees, security deposits, reservation policies, and participation rules for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government dental colleges. The bulletin also covers 100% of seats in Central Universities (BHU, AMU, DU) and Deemed Dental Universities.

A new feature in this year's bulletin is the 'Freeze & Float' system. This system aims to streamline document verification during choice upgrades between counselling rounds. Candidates who wish to 'Freeze' their allocated seat must report to the institute physically. Those opting to 'Float' for a higher preference seat upgrade do not need to report physically at this stage.

How to Apply for NEET MDS Seat Allotment

Candidates can apply for the NEET MDS seat allotment by visiting mcc.nic.in. Select 'MDS' and then click 'New Registration.' You will need your NEET MDS Roll Number, Application Number, and Personal Information.

The next step involves fee payment. This includes a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit. Payments can be made using a Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.

Following fee payment, candidates must fill and lock their choices of dental college and specialty. This must be completed by the specified deadline. The seat matrix, showing available seats, will be released before each round.

The MCC will announce the Seat Allotment Results. These results depend on the NEET MDS rank, filled choices, candidate category, and seat availability. Results are released in provisional and final allotment PDF formats.

Successful candidates must download their allotment letter from the candidate portal. They must then report physically to the allotted dental college with the necessary documents for admission.
