NEET Exam Format Under Review
On June 1, the parliamentary committee will focus on the NEET examination. Discussions will involve officials from the Department of Higher Education, the Department of Health and Family Welfare, and the NTA. Experts, including representatives from the United Doctors Front and Dr. Gulshan Garg, will also provide input. A key agenda item is the comparison of pen-and-paper versus computer-based testing for NEET. The committee will also hear about current issues students face with the NEET and NTA.
CBSE Portal Security and Marking System Scrutinized
The meeting on June 2 will scrutinize CBSE's examination procedures. Officials from the Department of School Education and the CBSE Chairman will attend. The committee will review the 'on-screen marking' system. This system caused problems for students during the Grade 12 CBSE exams. The CBSE website's security was also breached. Unauthorized access to the system occurred, affecting payment processes. Some students paid incorrect amounts.
CBSE has postponed the reopening of its Post-Result Activities portal until June 1, 2026 . This delay is to ensure system stability and security. The committee will question CBSE on preventing system misuse. Discussions will also include the policy of requiring students to study three languages in Classes 9 and 10.
