The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened a refund portal for students who paid fees for the NEET UG 2026 examination scheduled for May 3. The portal allows students to submit their bank account details to receive their examination fee refund. The window to submit this information is open until May 27, 2026, at 11:50 PM .
Refund Process Activated
Students who registered and paid for the NEET UG 2026 exam must log in to the official NEET (UG)-2026 registration portal. After logging in using their credentials, they can access the refund link. This will lead them to the refund portal where they need to enter their bank account information.
To ensure accuracy, candidates have the option to upload a scanned copy of a cancelled cheque. The NTA states that the bank details submitted will be considered final. No modifications will be permitted after submission.
Required Bank Information
To process the refund, candidates must provide the following details:
- Account Holder Name (as per bank records)
- IFSC Code
- Account Number
- Bank Name
Uploading a cancelled cheque is an optional step to verify the entered bank details.
NEET UG 2026 Exam Status
The NEET UG 2026 examination was originally scheduled for May 3. However, the exam was cancelled following allegations of widespread paper leaks. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating the matter. So far, 11 individuals have been arrested on charges related to accessing and distributing question papers before the exam.
A re-examination for NEET UG 2026 is scheduled for June 21, 2026 . The deadline for students to select their preferred cities for the re-exam was May 21, 2026.
