The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the schedule for the final mop-up round of Post Diploma DNB admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. This online, centralized counseling process aims to fill remaining seats.
Final Mop-Up Round Schedule
Eligible candidates can log in and submit their choices from August 21 to August 24, 2026 . The choice filling facility closes at 5 PM on August 24. NBEMS will announce the available seats in a matrix before counseling begins.
The allotment processing will occur from August 25 to August 26, 2026. Results for this round will be declared on August 27, 2026 . Candidates must physically join their allotted institutions by September 1, 2026 .
Counseling Details and Eligibility
Candidates who registered for the counseling but did not secure a seat in the first or second rounds are eligible for this final mop-up round. These candidates will be able to participate in the choice filling process.
Important Deadlines and Procedures
Hospitals must update candidate joining and resignation details on the counseling portal, admin.nbe.edu.in/pdcetadmin/doLogin . Any resignations must be updated by August 20, 2026 , for those seats to be included in the final round. Hospitals failing to do this risk cancellation for affected candidates.
Candidates who fail to join their assigned institution by the September 1, 2026 deadline will forfeit their Post Diploma DNB seat. Their first-year course fees will also not be refunded.
