Mumbai University released its first merit list for undergraduate admissions today, May 26, 2026, at 11 AM. The list is available on the university's admission portal at mu.ac.in.
First Merit List Released
Candidates who completed Class 12 and applied for admission can now check their status. The merit list is for all undergraduate academic programs. This includes 3-year UG, 4-year Hons/Hons with research, and 5-year Integrated UG/PG programs.
Next Steps for Admitted Students
Students whose names appear on the first merit list must complete online document verification and fee submission. This process is open from May 27 to May 29, 2026 . The verification link closes at 3 PM on May 29 .
Scanned copies of required documents must be uploaded. The university offers admission to its autonomous and non-autonomous affiliated colleges.
Required Documents for Verification
Students need specific documents for the verification process. These include:
- Class 10 Marksheet and Certificate
- Class 12 Marksheet
- Recent Passport-Size Photograph (under 500 KB)
- Scanned Signature on white paper (under 500 KB)
- Aadhaar Card
- Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID
- School Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate (TC)
Additional documents may be required based on eligibility:
- Caste Certificate & Validity (for SC/ST/OBC/VJNT reservation)
- Domicile Certificate (for Maharashtra residents)
- Migration Certificate (if Class 12 was from outside Maharashtra Board)
- Income Certificate / EWS Certificate (for fee concessions)
- Specially Abled / PwD Certificate (if applicable)
