The University of Mumbai (MU) will require students to have an APAAR ID to download hall tickets for examinations starting the 2026-27 academic year . Students must provide their APAAR ID details to access admit cards for upcoming semester exams. Failure to submit the ID may prevent students from obtaining their hall tickets.

This requirement is part of the university's updated examination procedures for the 2026-27 session. The university also mandates students arrive at examination centers at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time for exams in the 2026-27 academic year. These decisions followed meetings with the Examination and Evaluation Board, Management Council, and Academic Council.

APAAR ID Explained

APAAR, or Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry, assigns students a unique 12-digit identification number. This ID digitally stores and connects a student's academic records. It includes information on education, grades, credits, and achievements.

The APAAR ID integrates into the digital education system. It aims to simplify access to and management of academic information. Students in schools and higher education institutions can use the ID for digital record-keeping.

Facilitation Camp for Students

The University of Mumbai is hosting an Aadhaar facilitation camp. This camp assists students needing help with APAAR ID creation or related procedures. The camp is organized in coordination with the Director, Board of Examinations and Evaluation (DBOEE).

The facilitation camp is located at the Alkesh Dinesh Mody Institute for Financial and Management Studies (ADMIFMS) on the University of Mumbai campus. It will operate on August 19 and 20 , from 11 am to 4 pm.

Students can seek help with APAAR ID creation. They can also get assistance linking their Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID and resolve Aadhaar-related issues.

Action Required

Senior officials at affiliated colleges and university departments are instructed to inform students about the facilitation camp. They should encourage students with APAAR ID challenges to attend.

Students planning to take exams should bring their Aadhaar Card and other necessary documents. This will aid officials in verifying information and addressing any issues.

Students are advised to complete APAAR ID formalities promptly. This is to ensure they can access their hall tickets without last-minute problems before their examinations.
