Mumbai University Exams Cancelled Due to Rain

Mumbai University exams in Palghar district and Panvel Municipal Corporation were cancelled today, July 2, 2026 . This decision follows heavy rainfall causing disruptive conditions.

Exam Cancellations and Holiday Declaration

The District Collector of Palghar and the Commissioner of Panvel Municipal Corporation declared a holiday for colleges. All examinations scheduled for July 2, 2026, within these areas are now cancelled. The University of Mumbai announced this on its social media channels.

The holiday was declared based on a circular issued on July 1, 2026. Heavy rainfall led to the decision to ensure student safety and accessibility.

Revised Exam Dates

New dates for the cancelled examinations will be released soon. Students should monitor the official website of the University of Mumbai for updates. The university will announce the revised schedule there.

Schools Also Closed

Schools in Palghar, Panvel, Uran, and parts of the Raigad district also remained closed on July 2, 2026. This measure was taken due to severe waterlogging caused by the intense rainfall.
