The **MICAT 1** exam took place on **December 6** across more than 40 cities. If students are not happy with their Phase 1 scores, they have another chance. MICA is accepting applications for the second phase of the **MICAT 2026** exam. The last date to apply for **MICAT 2** is **January 29**. The **MICAT 2** exam will be held on **February 13**. MICA will consider the better score from both phases for shortlisting candidates.
How MICA Selects Students
Admission to MICA's Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and PGDM Communications (PGDM C) programs is a complete process. It does not depend only on your MICAT score. MICA looks at many parts of your application to find the best students. This includes your scores from other big entrance exams, your past academic performance, and how you perform in group activities and interviews. Each part is given a specific weightage, meaning it has a certain importance in your overall selection.
Here is how MICA gives importance to different parts of your application:
| CAT/XAT/GMAT scores | 35% |
| MICAT | 25% |
| Group Exercise (GE) | 10% |
| Personal Interview (PI) | 20% |
| Academic Performance (Class 10, Class 12, Graduation) | 5% |
| Extra-Curricular Activities, Sports, Academic and Gender Diversity | 5% |
Understanding Academic Performance Weightage:
Your past school and college results are also important. MICA considers your marks from:
- Class 10: **1.75%** of the total selection weight
- Class 12: **1.75%** of the total selection weight
- Graduation: **1.5%** of the total selection weight
The remaining **5%** weightage is given for your achievements in **extra-curricular activities** like sports or clubs, and for bringing different kinds of **diversity** (like academic background or gender) to the MICA campus.
Check Your MICAT Scorecard
To check your **MICAT 2026 Phase 1** results, you must visit the official MICA website, **mica.ac.in**. On the homepage, look for a link related to **MICAT 2026 results** or **scorecard download**. You will then need to enter your unique **MICA ID** and the **password** you created during your application. Once logged in, your detailed **MICAT scorecard** will be displayed. It is important to download and save this scorecard for your records.
The **MICAT scorecard** is a key document and will contain the following important information:
- Your full name
- Your exam roll number
- Your individual scores for each section of the MICAT exam
- Your overall total score from the exam
After both phases of MICAT are completed and their results are out, MICA will announce the **MICAT shortlists**. These are the candidates who have been selected for the next stages of admission, which include the Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI). The final list of students selected for MICA's PGDM programs (the **MICA final merit list**) will be released by the end of the **second week of April**. This final merit list will decide who gets admission.
MICA Admission Cutoff (Past Trends)
For admission to MICA's PGDM program, candidates usually need a good percentile in other entrance exams like CAT/XAT. For example, for general category students, the CAT percentile cutoff for admission to MICA has been around **80** in recent years. This cutoff has stayed the same for the last three years.
MICA may send an email or SMS when results are live, but students should regularly check the official website for updates.
