Understanding Seat Acceptance
Candidates allotted a seat in Round III have several options regarding acceptance. Those receiving their first allotment must self-verify and pay the seat acceptance fee. Candidates who received one of their first six preferences will have their seats auto-frozen; they must pay the fee and cannot participate in further rounds.
Students offered choices outside their top six can choose to freeze the allotment or opt for betterment. Freezing requires paying the seat acceptance fee and forfeits future round participation. Choosing betterment, while still accepting the current seat, allows for consideration in subsequent rounds. All candidates accepting a seat must pay the acceptance fee online.
Reporting and Admission Confirmation
Upon accepting a seat, candidates must report to their assigned institute. The institute will verify documents and confirm the admission online. Failure to report or complete the process within the stipulated dates will result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat. Institutes must upload admission details immediately after verification.
A total of 28,132 seats are available for CAP Round III. Candidates are advised to carefully review the vacancy list before selecting their preferences for this round.
