The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, has started registrations for MHT CET 2026. Students can register on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org . Currently, application forms are available only for MAH-M.P.Ed CET and MAH-M.Ed CET courses. The application forms for B.E./B.Tech (PCM group) and B.Pharm (PCB group) will be released soon on the same website. All applicants must register using their APAAR ID and Aadhar card .
The MHT CET 2026 examination will be held in two sessions: one in April 2026 and the other in May 2026 . Only students who complete their registration and pay the fees on time will be allowed to take the test. It is expected that around 6 to 7 lakh students will apply for the MHT CET exam this year.
Who Can Apply?
- Applicants must be citizens of India.
- They must have passed Class 12 or be currently appearing for the Class 12 examination. They need to have studied Physics and Mathematics, along with one of these subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, IT, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or a Technical Vocational subject.
- Students who have completed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology can also apply.
- Candidates must have scored at least 45% marks in Class 12. For students from reserved categories, the minimum score is 40% .
- There is no age limit to apply for the MHT CET exam.
How to Register and Apply
The MHT CET 2026 application form can only be filled online. The authorities will not provide any offline forms.
- Go to the official website: cetcell.mahacet.org .
- Find the MHT CET 2026 registration section and click on it.
- Register yourself using a valid email ID and mobile number. These will be used for all important communication and verification.
- Fill in your personal details, academic qualifications, and contact information correctly.
- When the application forms for PCM and PCB groups are released, you will need to select your preferred subject group (PCM or PCB).
- Upload all necessary documents as specified on the website.
- Pay the application fee using online payment methods like net banking, credit card, debit card, or mobile wallets. Offline fee payment is not allowed.
- After paying the fee, submit your application form.
Important Note on APAAR ID and Aadhar:
This year, the State CET Cell has introduced a new system for verifying candidates through Digilocker . You must validate your account using both your Aadhar card and APAAR ID when registering for MHT CET exams. The APAAR ID is a unique 12-digit number given to all students in India. It stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry.
Filling the Form on Mobile:
It is not recommended to fill the MHT CET 2026 application form using a mobile phone. This is because uploading and resizing photos, signatures, and other required documents can be difficult on a mobile device. If you do not have a computer or laptop, you can visit a computer center to complete your application.

- Disability Certificate and/or Unique Disability ID (UDID Card) (if you are a PwD candidate)

Important Reminders
- The last date for MHT CET 2026 registration will be announced in the official notification. The registration window is likely to stay open for about 3 to 4 weeks .
- Ensure your application fee is paid successfully. If the fee is not paid, your application will be rejected.
- Double-check your email ID and mobile number. All official exam-related information will be sent to these contacts.
- Choose your test cities carefully to avoid traveling long distances.
- The MHT CET exam is conducted in three languages: English, Marathi, and Urdu . You can choose your preferred language while filling the form.
- Admit cards for the MHT CET 2026 exam will only be given to candidates who complete their registration and fee payment on time.
