MHT CET 2026 Application Dates
The MHT CET application form is likely to be released around December 30 or 31, 2025 . This follows the pattern from last year. The deadline to apply is expected to be the second week of February 2026 . Students must complete the application process online within these dates.
Exam to be Held Twice a Year
For the first time, the MHT CET exam will be conducted twice a year. This change applies to MHT CET 2026 onwards. The exam will be held in two sessions: one in April and one in May. This gives students more chances to score well. The exam will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

- Disability Certificate and/or Unique Disability ID (UDID Card) (for PwD candidates only)
- Scribe Details (for PwD candidates who need assistance)
How to Apply for MHT CET 2026
The application process will be completely online. Students need to follow these steps:
- Register online on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org .
- Fill out the application form with personal and academic details.
- Upload scanned copies of required documents, including photo and signature.
- Pay the application fee online.
It is best to use a computer or laptop for applying. Filling the form on mobile phones is not advised, especially for uploading and resizing documents.
MHT CET 2026 Application Fee
Reports suggest that the application fee for MHT CET 2026 might increase by INR 150 to INR 250 . However, an official announcement on the fee hike is still awaited. Based on last year's fees, the structure was:

Eligibility Criteria for MHT CET 2026
Before applying, students must check if they meet the eligibility rules. These are:
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen .
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 or be appearing for Class 12 exams in 2026.
- In Class 12, students must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects . They also need one of these subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, IT, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or a Technical Vocational subject.
- Alternatively, candidates who passed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology can also apply.
- Students must have a minimum of 45% marks in Class 12 . For reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates from Maharashtra State, the minimum marks required are 40% .
Students from outside Maharashtra can also apply for MHT CET 2026. They can also seek admission to BTech courses through JEE Main or BPharm courses through NEET during the MHT CET CAP counselling.
