The Maharashtra State CET cell will soon start online applications for the MHT CET 2026 exam. This year, students must prepare key documents like their updated Aadhaar card and a new APAAR ID before applying. The CET cell has also announced that the MHT CET exam will be held twice in 2026.
The MHT CET is a crucial entrance exam for students aiming for engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture courses in Maharashtra colleges. MHT CET 2026: Two Chances to Appear
For the first time, students will have two opportunities to take the MHT CET exam in one year. This change helps students improve their scores. The best score from both attempts will be used for college admissions.

Mandatory Documents for MHT CET 2026 Registration

- Aadhaar (UIDAI) Card: Your Aadhaar card must be updated with your latest details. This includes your name, date of birth (as per Class 10 certificate), recent photograph, address, father's name, and an active mobile number linked to Aadhaar. Update any incorrect or old information immediately.
- Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID: All students applying for CETs must generate their APAAR ID. This ID will be needed during the online registration process. Check official guidelines on how to create this ID.
- Disability Certificate and/or Unique Disability ID (UDID Card) (for PwD Candidates): If you are a Person with Disability (PwD), you must upload a Disability Certificate from a Competent Authority. A UDID Card can also be used if available. PwD candidates should aim to get a UDID Card as it may be required for college admissions (CAP).
- Scribe Details (for eligible PwD Candidates): PwD candidates who can use a scribe must provide details of two scribes when filling out the online application form.
Expected Increase in Application Fee
Reports suggest that the MHT CET 2026 application fee might increase by INR 150 to INR 250 . However, the CET cell has not officially confirmed this fee hike. Students should check the official website for the exact fee details when the application forms are released.
