Maharashtra TET 2026 Postponed Due to Paper Leak

The Maharashtra Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 has been postponed. The Maharashtra State Council of Examinations (MSCE) announced the cancellation on June 28 . This decision follows an alleged paper leak. Police received information about the leak on June 27 . They acted on a tip-off in Bhiwandi, Thane District. Officials confirmed individuals had access to exam questions. The TET exam qualifies candidates for teaching positions. It covers primary (Classes 1-5) and upper primary (Classes 6-8) schools. Over 4 lakh candidates registered for the exam. Many traveled to exam centers before the announcement. The MSCE will announce new exam dates soon. Candidates have expressed frustration online. They compare the situation to the NEET-UG paper leak.

Investigation Underway

Authorities registered a First Information Report (FIR). The FIR is against individuals involved in the leak. The postponement allows for a thorough investigation. MSCE officials were part of the verification process. They confirmed the integrity of the exam was compromised. The exact number of leaked questions is under investigation.

Exam Details

New dates for the Maharashtra TET 2026 exams are pending. This includes both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
