The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has extended the application deadline for first-year Post SSC Diploma engineering (Polytechnic) admissions. The new deadline is July 2, 2026 , pushing it back from the original June 22, 2026.
Registration Update
This extension aims to accommodate a surge in applicants. Over 1.45 lakh students have registered so far for the 2026-27 academic session. More than 1.15 lakh applicants have paid fees and submitted details for verification.
Why the Extension?
State Minister for Higher & Technical Education Chandrakant Patil announced the extension. It provides students additional time to gather required certificates and reservation documents. The interest in technical education remains high.
Key Dates Revised
The DTE Maharashtra has adjusted the admission schedule. The provisional merit list will now be released on July 4, 2026 . Following this, a grievance period will run from July 5 to July 7. The final merit list will be declared on July 8, 2026 .
Eligibility and Process
Candidates require a minimum of 35% marks in Class 10 to be eligible. Applications are accepted on the official portal, www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in . Applicants can opt for an e-Scrutiny process. This option avoids the need for physical visits to Facilitation Centres.
Application Fees
General category candidates must pay Rs. 400. Reserved category candidates are charged Rs. 300.
