Maharashtra Board Supplementary Exams 2025 Begin: Over 1 Lakh Students Appear for SSC, HSC

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) commenced the supplementary examinations for Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) students from Tuesday, offering a second chance to those who were unable to clear the main board exams held in February-March or those aiming to improve their scores.

A total of 34,562 students have registered for the SSC exams, while the HSC exams have seen 68,098 candidates appear this year. These exams are being conducted through the board’s nine regional offices located in Pune, Nagpur, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan.

As per Devidas Kulal, Secretary of MSBSHSE, the Class 10 supplementary exams will continue until July 8, and the final paper for Class 12 will be held on July 16. To ensure parity with the main examinations, candidates are granted an additional 10 minutes beyond the standard exam duration to revise and finalize their answers.

Additionally, Kulal confirmed that the marks for practical exams, oral assessments, internal evaluations, and grade improvement components will be processed through the board’s dedicated online system for supplementary assessments.

This supplementary exam session serves as a critical academic lifeline for thousands of students, giving them an opportunity to recover their academic standing and move forward confidently in their educational journey.
