The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) cell has announced important new rules for students applying to the MAH MCA CET 2026 exam. These changes are mandatory for all candidates. From now on, students must use their Aadhaar card for verification and get a special APAAR ID . Students with disabilities (PwD) have an additional requirement: they must also provide a Unique Disability ID (UDID) . These steps are put in place to make the admission process smoother, safer, and clearer for everyone.

Check Your Aadhaar Card Details

All students planning to register for MAH MCA CET 2026 must make sure their Aadhaar card information is correct and up-to-date . This is very important because the details on your Aadhaar card will be used to verify your identity. If there are any mistakes, it could cause problems during registration.

  • Your name must be spelled correctly.
  • Your date of birth must match exactly with your Class 10 (SSC) certificate.
  • Your address should be current.
  • Your father’s name must be correct.
  • You need a recent photograph on your Aadhaar card.
  • The mobile number linked to your Aadhaar must be active. The CET cell will use this number to send important messages and updates.

If any of these details are wrong or outdated, students should visit an Aadhaar enrolment or update centre right away to make the necessary changes. Having correct information on your Aadhaar card is a key step for your application.

What is APAAR ID?

A new system called APAAR ID is now mandatory for all students applying for MAH MCA CET 2026. APAAR stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry . It is a unique 12-digit ID that will stay with you throughout your academic life.

  • Think of it as a digital locker for your school and college documents. All your academic records, like mark sheets, certificates, and degrees, will be stored safely in this digital account.
  • This ID aims to make the admission process much easier and faster across different educational institutions.
  • It also helps to stop fake documents and ensures that only genuine students are admitted.

Students can get their APAAR ID from their current college or school. It is important to get this ID well before the MAH MCA CET 2026 registration begins to avoid any last-minute rush or issues.

Special Rules for Students with Disabilities (PwD)

Candidates who have a disability and are applying for MAH MCA CET 2026 have specific requirements. They must provide a mandatory Disability Certificate or a Unique Disability ID (UDID) .

  • The UDID is a special card that ensures your disability status is recognized everywhere in India.
  • It makes it easier for you to get government benefits and to apply for admission under special categories.
  • Having a UDID means you do not need to show many different disability certificates again and again. It acts as a single, trusted identification document.

If a PwD candidate needs help with writing the exam (meaning they need a scribe ), they must also provide detailed information about two possible scribes. This information includes the scribe’s name, Aadhaar number, photo, and other required certificates. This must be done during the online application process. Students should prepare these details in advance.

All students must carefully follow these new rules from the Maharashtra State CET cell. Getting your Aadhaar details correct, applying for your APAAR ID, and securing your UDID (if you are a PwD candidate) are essential steps for a smooth MAH MCA CET 2026 registration process.
