The Maharashtra State CET Cell has announced an important new rule for students looking to apply for the MAH HM CET 2026 exam. All candidates must now complete their Aadhaar card verification and create an APAAR ID before they can register for the exam. This new rule applies to the MAH HM CET 2026-27 academic year and other professional courses offered by the state.

This change means that students planning to study hotel management in Maharashtra need to prepare these documents well in advance. The aim is to make the application process smoother and to keep student records digital and secure.

Aadhaar Card Details Must Be Correct

Students must make sure their Aadhaar card details are completely accurate. The information on their Aadhaar card should exactly match what is written on their school certificates. Any mismatch can cause problems during registration.

Students should carefully check the following details on their Aadhaar card:

  • Your Name: It must match your school documents.
  • Date of Birth: This should be the same as on your Class 10 certificate.
  • Your Address: Ensure it is up-to-date.
  • Father’s Name: Check that it is correct.
  • Recent Photograph: Make sure your photo on Aadhaar is clear and recent.

It is also very important that the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar card is active and working. The CET Cell will send important messages, including One-Time Passwords (OTPs) and exam updates, to this registered mobile number. If your mobile number is not linked or is outdated, you might miss key information.

What is APAAR ID and Why Do You Need It?

Along with Aadhaar verification, every student applying for MAH HM CET 2026 must have an APAAR ID . This is a new and important requirement from the Maharashtra State CET Cell.

What is an APAAR ID?

APAAR stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry . It is a special 12-digit unique number for students. Think of it like a digital locker for all your academic achievements. This ID will keep a digital record of all your mark sheets, degrees, certificates, and other academic awards. It helps create a single, lifelong student ID that can be used across different education systems in India.

How to Get Your APAAR ID?

Students can get their APAAR ID in two main ways:

  • Through Your School or College: Many educational institutions are helping students generate their APAAR IDs. You can ask your school or college administration for assistance.
  • Using the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) Portal: You can also create your APAAR ID directly through the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) portal. This portal works with DigiLocker, which is a secure online platform for storing official documents. You will need your Aadhaar number to link and create your APAAR ID through this method.

It is best to generate your APAAR ID as early as possible to avoid last-minute rush and technical issues. This ID will be useful not just for MAH HM CET but also for your future academic journey.

Special Rules for Disabled (PwD) Candidates

Candidates with disabilities (PwD) have specific requirements for MAH HM CET 2026 registration.

  • Disability Certificate: PwD candidates must submit a UDID card or a valid disability certificate when they register for the entrance exam. This document proves their disability status.

If a PwD candidate needs a helper (called a scribe) to write the exam for them, they must provide details of **two scribes**. The details required for each scribe are:

Scribe DetailInformation Required
NameFull name of the scribe
Aadhaar NumberScribe's Aadhaar card number
Recent PhotoA recent passport-size photograph
Bonafide CertificateCertificate proving the scribe's identity and good standing
Highest QualificationCertificate of the scribe's highest education level

These details are important to ensure fairness and proper support for PwD candidates during the exam.
