The State Common Entrance Test Cell has announced the final rules for admissions to professional courses like BEd for the 2025-26 academic year . This update is important for all students who have applied for courses such as BA/BSc BEd, BPEd, BEd-MEd, MEd, MPEd, and BEd in Maharashtra. Colleges must get all student admissions certified by the Directorate of Higher Education and approved by the Admission Regulatory Authority. The admission process for most courses is already complete, with the BEd course currently in its final stages.

This certification is a must for all admissions made by colleges up to the final admission date. Colleges need to make sure all documents are uploaded correctly and proposals are submitted on time for verification.

What Colleges Must Do

Unaided institutions must submit their admission proposals to the concerned Directorate within 15 days from the last admission date. The Directorate will then certify these proposals. The Admission Regulatory Authority will check and approve these proposals by January 30 of every year.

The authority has changed the admission certification process to be fully online. Colleges need to follow these steps:

For Student Document Verification:

  • Colleges should log in to the admission portal for 2025-26.
  • Update 'College 019' in their profile.
  • Go to 'Upload Additional Documents'.
  • Upload essential documents for each student: ID Card, Admission Fee Payment Receipt, and Allotment Letter .
  • After uploading, verify each student's documents by clicking 'Verify Admission Documents' on the homepage.
  • If any document is missing or wrong, the college must upload the correct one. For example, if a student uploaded a caste validity application receipt, but the actual certificate is now available, the college should upload the certificate. If mark sheets are incomplete, the college must upload all complete mark sheets.
  • Once all documents are correct, select 'Verified' in 'Verification Status'.
  • Enter the fee paid by the student and click 'Save Verification Status'.
  • If a student has cancelled admission, select 'Cancelled' and upload a copy of their cancellation request form. Then click 'Save Verification Status'.

For Institute Level Admission Rounds:

After the three central admission rounds are over, colleges must upload documents for any college-level admission rounds (also called ACAP Seats) and management quota admissions (if any). This is done by clicking 'Upload Institute Level Round Documents' on the homepage. Required documents include:

  • Vacancy After Last CAP Round: Details of empty seats after central admission rounds. This information is available in the college login under 'Report'.
  • IQ (Institutional Quota) Advertisement: If the college advertised for institutional level admissions (newspaper, website, or notice board), a copy of the advertisement must be uploaded.
  • List of Applicants for Institutional Round: A single PDF containing names of all candidates who applied for college-level seats and management quota seats.
  • List of Applicants in Merit List: A single PDF of the merit lists for both college-level and management quota applicants. If there are multiple merit lists, combine them into one PDF.
  • Selection List (Subject / Category / Quota Wise): A list of candidates selected based on merit and available seats for both college-level and management quota admissions. Combine multiple selection lists into one PDF.
  • Waiting List (Subject / Category / Quota Wise): If selected candidates do not join, upload any waiting lists prepared by the college. Combine multiple waiting lists into one PDF.
  • Vacancy Position After Cut-Off Date (Subject / Category / Quota Wise): Details of seats that are still empty after the entire admission process is finished.

Final Steps for Colleges

After uploading all documents, colleges must pay the processing fee to the Admission Regulatory Authority. Then, click 'Submit Proposal to Directorate' and send the admission verification proposal to the Directorate.

Colleges must upload all documents for admitted students by November 15, 2025 . The full proposal for admission verification must be submitted to the Directorate by November 21, 2025 .

The Directorate will verify admissions online based on the uploaded documents. This will happen during the dates mentioned in the table above (column 5). If any errors are found, the college will see them in their login portal. No emails or letters will be sent about errors. Colleges must check their login daily during the verification period and fix any errors by uploading correct documents immediately.

If colleges do not submit required documents by the deadline, the admission will show an error. The college Principal is fully responsible for ensuring all steps are completed on time and correctly.
