Students wishing to apply for the Maharashtra Bachelor of Education (MAH BEd CET) exam must now have an Aadhar Card and an APAAR ID ready. The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has made these two documents compulsory for registration. The application forms for the MAH BEd CET are expected to open very soon.
Students have been waiting for the MAH BEd CET application forms since late December. The delay was due to work on the website. Now, with registrations for other courses like BPEd and MEd already started, the forms for the BEd course are likely to be released in the coming days. It is important for all future applicants to make sure they have their Aadhar Card and APAAR ID prepared.
What is APAAR ID?
The APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) is a special 12-digit number for students. Think of it as a permanent digital ID for your education journey. This ID helps students store all their academic records safely in one place online. This includes things like scorecards, mark sheets, degrees, diplomas, certificates, and even achievements outside of studies. Having this ID means all your school and college documents are easily accessible digitally, creating a lifelong record of your learning.
How to Get Your APAAR ID
Students can get their APAAR ID in two main ways. It is important to generate this ID before you fill out the MAH BEd CET application form.

How Schools Help with APAAR ID
Some students, especially those who are minors, may need to get their APAAR ID through their school. Here are the steps involved:
- Verification: Visit your school to confirm your personal details, such as name and date of birth.
- Parental Consent: If you are under 18 years old, your parents or guardians must give their permission for your APAAR ID to be created.
- Authentication: The school authority will check and confirm your identity.
- ID Creation: Once all checks are done, your APAAR ID will be created and securely added to your DigiLocker account.
Students can also ask their school authorities to check the status of their APAAR ID on the UDISE+ Portal, under the APAAR Module. This module shows if your ID has been created or what its current status is.
All students preparing for the MAH BEd CET are advised to regularly visit the official website, https://cetcell.mahacet.org/ , for the latest instructions and updates on the application process.
