MAH BEd CET 2026: Aadhaar, APAAR ID Now Compulsory for Registration

Students planning to join the Bachelor of Education (BEd) course in Maharashtra for the 2026 academic year must get ready. The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has announced that Aadhaar Card and APAAR ID will be compulsory for applying to the MAH BEd CET 2026 exam .

The online application forms for the MAH BEd CET are expected to be available soon. Students should keep these important documents ready to avoid any problems during registration. The State CET Cell manages these entrance exams for various courses in Maharashtra.

Documents Needed for MAH BEd CET 2026 Registration

Here are the main documents you will need:

Update Your Aadhaar Card

All students must make sure their Aadhaar card details are correct and updated. Here are the things to check and update:

  • Name : Should match your other official documents.
  • Date of Birth : Must be the same as on your Class 10 certificate .
  • Latest Photograph : Ensure your photo is recent.
  • Address : Your current residential address.
  • Father's Name : Make sure it is correct.
  • Mobile Number Linked to Aadhaar : This number must be active and updated in Aadhaar. You will receive important updates and OTPs on this number.

If any of these details are wrong or old, you must update them through the Aadhaar service centres or online portals before applying for the MAH BEd CET.

What is APAAR ID?

APAAR stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry . It is a unique 12-digit ID for students. The government introduced it as part of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This ID will help store all your academic records digitally, from school to higher education.

All students who want to apply for the CETs are advised to create their APAAR ID. You will need this ID when you fill out the registration form.

Special Rules for Students with Disabilities (PwD)

If you are a student with a disability, there are additional documents you need:

  • Disability Certificate / UDID Card : You must upload a valid Disability Certificate. This certificate should be issued by a government-approved authority. If you have a Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card, you can use that. It is recommended to get a UDID card if you don't have one, as it might be needed during the final admission process (Common Admission Process - CAP).

Details for Scribe (Writer)

Some PwD candidates who have specific disabilities are allowed to have a scribe (a person who writes the exam for them). If you are eligible for a scribe, you must provide details of two scribes when you fill the online application form. The following information is needed for each scribe:

  • Name of the scribe.
  • Aadhaar number of the scribe.
  • A recent photograph of the scribe.
  • A Bonafide Certificate for the scribe, issued by their institution.
  • The scribe's Highest Qualification Certificate .

How to Apply and Stay Updated

The State Common Entrance Test Cell has not yet announced the exact date for starting applications. It is expected that the application process will begin by the end of the month. Students must regularly check the official website for updates.
