Students planning to join professional courses in Maharashtra for the 2026-27 academic year, including the MAH BCA CET 2026, must now follow new rules. The Maharashtra State CET Cell has announced that all applicants must verify their Aadhaar details and get an APAAR ID. Students with disabilities (PwD) also need to provide a Unique Disability ID (UDID).

These new steps are compulsory for everyone applying to technical and higher education courses from the upcoming academic year. This includes degrees like Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and many others. Registration for these courses is expected to start in late December 2025 or early January 2026 . Students should prepare these documents now to avoid any delays.

Aadhaar Card Details Must Be Correct

Your Aadhaar card details must be accurate and match your school certificates exactly. If there are any differences, you should correct them immediately. This ensures a smooth application process. Here are the details you must check:

  • Your name must match your official school documents.
  • Your date of birth should be the same as on your Class 10 certificate.
  • Your address needs to be up to date.
  • Your father’s name must be correct.
  • Your recent photograph should be updated on the Aadhaar card.
  • The mobile number linked to your Aadhaar must be active. This number will receive important one-time passwords (OTPs) for verification during registration.

Make sure all these details are correct before you start the application process.

Understand Your APAAR ID

Every student applying for these courses needs an APAAR ID. APAAR stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry . It is a special 12-digit number for you. Think of it as a digital locker for all your academic records.

  • What it is: This unique 12-digit number stores your mark sheets, degrees, and other academic certificates online. It makes it easy to access your educational records anytime, anywhere.
  • How to get it: You can get your APAAR ID through your current school or college. You can also generate it yourself on the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) portal . Using DigiLocker is an easy way to access the ABC portal for this purpose.

Having an APAAR ID helps colleges and universities quickly verify your academic history. This speeds up the admission process.

Important for PwD Candidates

Candidates with disabilities have specific requirements. If you are a Person with Disability (PwD) applicant, you must provide a Unique Disability ID (UDID) card . If you do not have a UDID card, you must submit a mandatory disability certificate instead. This document is needed at the time of registration.

Scribe Information for Eligible PwD Candidates

Some PwD candidates can choose to have a 'scribe' help them write their exams. If you are eligible for a scribe, you must submit details for two possible scribes when you apply. You will need to provide the following information for each scribe:

  • Their name .
  • Their Aadhaar number .
  • A recent photograph .
  • A Bonafide certificate issued by their institute.
  • Their highest qualification certificate .

This information helps the authorities ensure fair assistance during exams.

Next Steps for All Students

To prepare for your application, follow these steps:

  • Check Your Aadhaar: Confirm that your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar card. This is crucial for receiving OTPs during online verification.
  • Generate APAAR ID: Register for your APAAR ID right away. You can do this through DigiLocker, which links to the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) portal. This step is mandatory and will prevent delays later.
  • Monitor Official Website: Keep an eye on the official State CET Cell portal . The exact dates for online registration will be announced there. Remember, registration is expected to begin in late December 2025 or early January 2026 .

Getting these documents ready now will make your application process for MAH BCA CET 2026 and other professional courses smoother. Stay updated by regularly checking official announcements.
