The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has released the admit cards for the Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) Mains exam 2025. Students who cleared the Prelims exam can now download their admit cards. The Mains exam is scheduled for November 8, 2025 .
This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 760 AAO posts across India. Around 10,068 candidates have passed the Prelims exam and are now ready to appear for the Mains stage. The Prelims results were announced on October 29 for Generalist posts and October 30, 2025 , for Specialist posts.
About the Vacancies
LIC is hiring for various AAO positions. The posts are divided into two main categories: Generalist and Specialist. Students need different qualifications for these roles.

For Generalist roles, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree. For Specialist roles, candidates need specific qualifications related to the field, like IT, Chartered Accountancy (CA), Actuarial Science, Rajbhasha (Official Language), or Law.
The age limit for these posts is between 21 and 30 years . However, for CA and Legal Specialist posts, the age limit is slightly higher, up to 32 years . There are also age relaxations for candidates from reserved categories, as per government rules.
How to Download Your Admit Card
Candidates who qualified for the Mains exam can download their admit card by following these simple steps:
- Step 1: Go to the official LIC website: www.licindia.in
- Step 2: Look for the "Careers" or "Admit Card" section on the homepage.
- Step 3: Click on the link that says "LIC AAO Mains Admit Card 2025" or "Phase-II Call Letter."
- Step 4: You will need to enter your Registration Number, Date of Birth (or Password), and the security code (captcha) shown on the screen.
- Step 5: After entering the details, your admit card will appear. Download it and take a printout.
It is very important to print your admit card. You must carry this printed admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam center on the day of the Mains exam. Without these, you will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
Mains Exam Pattern
The LIC AAO Mains exam will include both objective and descriptive tests. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers in the objective section.
- Objective Test: This part will cover subjects like Reasoning, General Knowledge, Data Analysis, Insurance Awareness, and Professional Knowledge. The Professional Knowledge section is only for Specialist posts.
- Descriptive English Test: This part will check your English writing skills.
Candidates who perform well in the Mains exam will be shortlisted for the next stage, which is an interview. The final list of selected candidates will be based on their performance in the Mains exam and the interview.
