The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released final rules for the KCET 2026 Kannada Language Test, happening tomorrow, April 22. The test will be from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. KEA asks students to arrive 35-40 minutes early to complete checks and find their seats on time. The KEA Executive Director, H. Prasanna , told students and parents to stay calm and not believe rumours on social media.
KCET 2026 Dress Code Rules
KEA wants the exam to be fair for everyone. To do this, they have set some simple rules for what students should wear:
- Wear plain, simple clothes.
- Clothes should be comfortable.
- Avoid clothes that cover your arms fully or your whole body.
- Do not wear shoes with thick soles or leather shoes.
- Simple sandals or slippers are best.
- Do not wear large or flashy jewellery.
These rules help make sure checks at the exam centre are quick and easy. KEA is also using CCTV cameras and other technology to ensure a fair exam.
Important Reminders for Students
Students should reach their KCET exam centres early to allow time for security checks. They must not bring any electronic gadgets, large amounts of cash, or flashy jewellery. Make sure to carry your hall ticket and a valid ID proof, like an Aadhaar card or Voter ID, for the Kannada Language Test.
