Karnataka TET 2025 Exam: Guidelines, Admit Card, Date

The Department of School Education, Karnataka, will hold the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) exam on December 7, 2025 . Candidates taking the exam must know the important rules for exam day. The admit cards for KARTET 2025 are now available. Students can download them from the official website sts.karnataka.gov.in . This exam helps select teachers for classes 1 to 8 in Karnataka.

Candidates must download their admit card. They need to bring two printed copies of the admit card to the exam center. Along with the admit card, a valid photo ID proof is also a must. Acceptable ID proofs include Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID Card, or PAN Card. Without these documents, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.

KARTET 2025 Exam Schedule

The KARTET 2025 exam will take place in two shifts on December 7, 2025.

  • The first shift (Paper I) is from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM . This paper is for those who want to teach classes 1 to 5.
  • The second shift (Paper II) is from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM . This paper is for those who want to teach classes 6 to 8.

Candidates must reach their exam center at least 90 minutes before the exam starts. This extra time is for checking documents and other entry procedures.

Passing Marks for KARTET 2025

To pass the KARTET exam, candidates need to score certain marks:

  • General category candidates must score at least 60% of the total marks.
  • Candidates from SC, ST, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories need to score at least 55% of the total marks.

Important Rules for Exam Day

All candidates must follow these rules on the exam day:

  • Carry two copies of your KARTET 2025 Admit Card .
  • Bring a valid photo ID proof . Examples are Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID Card, or PAN Card.
  • Reach the exam center at least 90 minutes before your exam starts.
  • Do not bring electronic devices to the exam center. This includes mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, and any other gadgets.
  • Dress simply and comfortably.

  • Sit only in the seat given to you. Your seat number will match your roll number or registration number. Do not sit in someone else's seat.
